I recently purchased the German Style Recorder in the Natural color to bring back some memories of my childhood, as well as maybe spark an interest in flute or wind instruments, in general, in my daughter. I have to say, for $7, it is of very good quality, has a really good sound and comes with everything you need to get started and keep it safely stored. The fingering chart may look intimidating, but it is actually very easy to understand. The case is adequate and fits everything with ease. The cleaning rod works just like it's supposed to. All in all, a wonderful investment for beginners, and sounds good enough to continue with it through intermediate levels. Highly recommended!

I've really enjoyed this recorder. The look is very neutral and pleasing. You may think it's wood unless you look at it up close. I like that the fingering is offset to match hand positioning, and the thumb rest is a nice addition All in all, very happy with the purchase!

Good quality, never heard of this name but this is just as good as Yamaha if I were you I would buy this recorder. Only thing was wrong with it was the music notes but that’s ok because I have my own. Picked it up for my daughter she is now in a music class , I’m so excited for my kindergartener

My family is very diverse and everyone is challenged to learn a new instrument. We have selected inexpensive but not cheaply made ones to begin. The recorder appears to be an easy instrument to learn so was a definite choice. If you are far removed from the grade school education, you will need more than the included directions for proper use. We selected this particular recorder because of its color. Several of us Love Purple, but the color of the instrument isn't how you evaluate quality.
My overall impression is based on the "feel" of the mouthpiece, the ease of sounding different notes, and packaging information. If you are a beginner, you will need more instructions for playing specific notes. The included fingering chart was not helpful.
Pros:
playable & cost effective
transparent (can see the saliva build up for cleaning)
cleaning dowel included in the reusable plastic case
Cons:
poor instructions (but that does not reflect the quality of the instrument)
(in my household, the dog must either love it or hate it because he will "sing along" or "howl in pain" when anyone plays."
