Very pleased with this instrument. I hadn't picked up a clarinet for about forty years but I was able to get a beautiful tone out of it within minutes of its first assembly. It comes with three reeds, a cleaning kit, two barrels to help with tuning, a standard ligature and a leather ligature (which I prefer). Compared to my old clarinet (my boyhood instrument which I dug out and tried out of curiosity) this instrument is very responsive so would be suitable for beginner as well as more experienced hobby players. In terms of value for money, this is the best purchase I've made in many a long day as I expect to get many hours of pleasure out of it. I should add that it's well-finished and looks great and to tell the truth I find it hard to keep my hands off it. Recommended.

It's very good beginner's/student's instrument. Unlike some other's, the instrument feels like an actual instrument (not a toy), it makes decent sound (if one's not expecting a thousand dollar sound), and the body seems well enough to be handled by a 9yr old boy. The seller's customer service is also excellent. I sent an email to ask the seller for extra reeds which were not included in original package but mentioned in description, and their reply was fast and personal. Every accessories in this set has been used at least once and they are all in nice quality.

As a clarinet beginner, I had a hard time at first creating sound, but after a few days of dedication and practice, I assure you, you will create some sound! You can see in the video, I'm not the best clarinet player, but I tried my best to play something! I hope you like it. I did blend in some sounds together to create something more pleasing to hear. Other than that, the sound itself is not fixed in any other form. I want to note that at first, the clarinet pieces (mouthpiece, the barrel, the upper joint, the lower joint, and the bell, (in order)) were hard to piece together. I realized then that all new clarinets are a bit hard around the cork because the manufacturers want clarinet to last longer, hence the tighter the better, that way the cork doesn't become too lose too fast (what clarinet cork grease can be used for). Tip: You can also adjust the barrel or switch to the other barrel it comes with to your liking for different or better sound. About the Bb Clarinet: Bb clarinet is the most popular used instrument. It's a transposing instrument, so the note would be around a major second from the note written on the music sheet. Fun fact about the Bb clarinet is that it's used in songs like jazz or songs like Mozart and older classical songs. Because of the wide range of musical compositions for Bb Clarinet, it is the most prominent choice, especially for beginning students. Another fact to chose this instrument is that it is flexible for players who would like to switch instruments like a saxophone or a flute between or in songs. When I played this Bb clarinet the tone felt bright and rich. I was impressed by the great sound and action that came with it. Make sure to never touch your thin part of the reed (easy to damage) and keep the reed moist when you play for nicer sound. The clarinet comes in great packaging and condition. The fact that it comes with a care kit plus a portable stand and all this for a great price! I definitely recommend purchasing this instrument especially if you are a beginner, you won't regret it! I really hope that this can inspire many people who wish to play or already play the clarinet to try this one.

Let me preface this review by saying I have no experience with clarinets and this is the first one I've ever owned so take it with a grain of salt. First of all this comes with everything you need, including cork grease, gloves, reeds, even a stand. The quality seems very good, it comes in a matte black finish with nickel-plated keys. The clarinet does come with a black case that holds all the accessories and clarinet parts snuggly. The case does seem pretty sturdy but there were some loose threads sticking out. (this does not seem to effect the durability) The clarinet itself has a good weight to it and feels solidly constructed. Initially I did find putting the clarinet together to be a challenge but after watching a youtube video on how to do it, it was pretty easy. The key is to use the cork grease on the parts and work it into the cork very well. You have to rotate the parts so that they are covered equally in grease. It is a very snug fit but it is supposed to be air tight so that the air stays within the clarinet. When you put it together the first time I suggest you work in the grease on each part then disassemble it and reassemble it a couple more times to work it in. I played a couple of notes and it sounded very good to me and I will continue to learn on this wonderful instrument. Overall I'm very happy with this clarinet it seems very good value for a beginner and a comparable clarinet is about $600 at my local music store so this is about 1/6th the price with all accessories included.
